What the IPI score actually is

IPI stands for Inventory Performance Index, Amazon's score from 0 to 1000 for how well you manage FBA inventory. If your score falls below Amazon's threshold (set around 450 and subject to change), you can face FBA storage limits and overage fees even while selling.

The four inputs that move it

• Excess inventory: FBA stock with more than about 90 days of supply
• Sell-through: units sold in the last 90 days versus average units stored
• Stranded inventory: units with no active, sellable listing
• In-stock rate: how consistently popular products stay in stock
